One side carries Rand's droplet emblem, Au 999.9, 1oz FINE GOLD, and the serial number; the other is a herd of elephants in relief with LOXODONTA, the elephant's genus name, along the bottom. The bar is sealed in a card marked RAND SECURE, black or red depending on stock. Rand's card now shows the elephant side facing out. This is the same 1 oz Rand bar stocked by Costco.
