One troy ounce of .9999 fine gold from a refiner on the London Bullion Market Association's Good Delivery list, sold without a card. The brand depends on inventory; each bar carries its refiner's stamp with the weight and fineness, and most a serial number. The finish depends on the maker and the age of the bar, from the mirror of a modern minted ounce to the softer face of an older cast one. Uncarded bars ship loose. A loose ounce is exactly the kind of bar that should be tested, and every one is tested here before it goes out.
