One kilogram of .999 fine silver, 32.15 troy ounces, cast by Valcambi in Switzerland. Valcambi's kilo is hand-poured, so each bar is a little different in its surface and edges. The front carries the Valcambi logo, the weight as 1KG, the metal, the fineness 999, the Essayeur Fondeur assayer's mark, and a serial number; the back carries no engraving at all.
Valcambi issues it sealed in plastic with an assay certificate, which lists the manufacturer, weight, purity, and serial and carries the assayer's signature. A kilo of silver is about the size of a large bar of soap and about twice as heavy as it looks.
