Hey! Welcome to Pure, Trey here, Co-Founder and CEO. We are the first order book-style (I'll explain this below) marketplace for rare coins and precious metals. Whether you are a coin shop or an individual, we have a large range of available products with liquidity. There are two main use cases for pure, selling off unwanted and excess products, or acquiring supply for orders, inventory, or your stack. Typically customers find themselves in one of the two buckets a buyer or a seller, which can be served simultaneously.
Who is Pure and why should I trust them?
Pure is comprised of a team of ex-coin industry natives, who spent years working at various firms such as Heritage Auctions & Kevin Lipton Rare Coins, dealing with top industry companies such as APMEX, JM Bullion, A-MARK, and others. Myself (Trey) and my co-founder David, met while working on sneaker botting projects, and have always been interested in creating a StockX-like marketplace for precious metals and rare coins due to the various hyped mint releases that have come out over the years. We understand what it's like to sell on eBay, in-auctions, on Facebook, or Reddit (r/pmsforsale), and found many pain points in shipping, payment, and verifying authenticity. Pure solve the entire equation - get liquid quickly and have prepaid labels ready for you, or obtain the best items for your store or collection at great prices. We're backed by the Y-Combinator, Ludlow Ventures, the founder of StockX, the owner of PCGS and PSA, and many other angels in the industry.
How Does Selling Work?
Selling on pure can be done in two different ways, by accepting a bid, or placing an ask. Accepting a bid is essentially like taking the highest offer for that specific item. Placing an ask is setting the level you would take for your item and waiting for it to sell. For an immediate sale, you can hit the bid option. All bids are backed with the funds, and will not be taken back once locked in.
How does Shipping Work?
For every sell order, you get a free pre-paid shipping label that covers up to $125k in insurance on us. All labels are FedEx Express labels so all items are quickly processed and not sitting in the mail facility. For more on packing and shipping see this article.
You have 1-3 business days from locking in to ship your items to us. After that, our market-loss fee may occur, just please be communicative.
How do I get paid?
Payouts are done by ACH or eCheck, on the day of Receipt and Verification funds are released, and will take 1-2 business days to arrive. Wire payments are also available for Gold and Plum-rated sellers.
Who gets my items when I sell them?
All items sold on Pure come to us for processing. Trained staff open every incoming package on camera, and we test each item's metal composition ourselves alongside numismatic authentication checks.
Your items could go to a large range of different buyers, from online dealers to individuals and coin shops around the US. It is completely anonymous and random at times. The good part is that you will never have to deal with the end buyer, and your only responsibility is to get the items safely to us.

How Does Buying Work?
Similar to selling, buying can be done in two different ways, by placing a bid or offer or accepting the lowest ask. When competing sellers price aggressively, the lowest ask can sit at or below spot, and you can browse silver listed at or below spot price or gold at or below spot price directly. Placing a bid must be backed by your bank account, when a bid is accepted you are charged in full.
How does Pure Qualified Verification Work?
We test every item ourselves before it is listed. Items that clear our verification check are marked Pure Qualified, and if an item does not match its listing, we will take it back. We test the metal's exact composition on every precious metal item, and certified numismatic items are checked using our proprietary scanning software.
How do I pay for my items?
Payment can be made using Wire or ACH for items with an Ask. Items with a bid must be paid for via ACH direct debit. We extend credit to established individuals within the industry on set terms.
What shipping service do you use?
We ship all gold via FedEx overnight with fully insured labels, and we ship all Silver via express or ground, depending on the day of the week so it does not sit over a weekend.
